Pottery classes

Next session begins week of March 26th

7 – 9:30 PM Mondays or Thursdays

Classes run for 10 weeks

Classes are held at my home studio in Doon Village. Each student has their own potter’s wheel. Classes are offered in small class sizes of 4-8 people, with a lot of one on one instruction. Classes are open to beginner through advanced levels.

We begin by learning to make bowls, and then progress to make mugs, plates, vases, candle holders, goblets, etc. I also teach how to decorate pots by hand sculpting figures, such as mermaids, cats, or birds. I have a wide selection of glazes which my students enjoy using. My classes are a warm, supportive environment where I get to know students on an individual basis. I serve tea, and create a fun evening for all. Many students continue taking classes for several sessions, working on their own unique projects. Many former students are now selling pottery and even teaching classes themselves.
